T.Price and Son 1869 - 1915

A guide to dating the photos from the studio of T Price, St Helier, who was active in Jersey from 1869, and whose son continued the business until at least 1915.

T Price was born in 1839 and died in 1899. He began studio work in London around 1862, and set up in Jersey in 1869.

His photos can be dated by the style of backstamp, and later by the negative number on the back. If you have additional information that could narrow these dates down further please get in touch.
