		<description>Hi,

In my amateur research of wine history in Hong Kong, I come across below advertisement in 3 July 1844 of "Friend of China and Hong Kong Gazette" about Hemery Brothers wines :

" FOR SALE CLARET, $6 and $9; Red Burgundy, $12; Red Hermitage, $12; Champagne, $16; Port, $9; Sherry,$9; Cognac, $8,: Scheidam, $5; Curacao, $15; Noyau, $15; in cases of one, two and three dozen each, from Messrs Hemery Brothers, Jersey. Apply at the Godowns of Holliday Wise &amp; Co. to JOHN RITSON. "

Wonder if In your archive, there are any mention of selling wines to Hong Kong (China)? Do you have any idea how &amp; why their wines were shipped to Hong Kong?

Happy New Year

<description>Hello. My name is Susan Bentley-Pickstock. Father was Jonathan Booths Pickstock from Runcorn Cheshire. He came from a long line of Watermen and Shipwrights. If anyone has any Pickstock family trees, I would be most interested. My family tree is on genes reunited and ancestry.co.uk - any help would be gratefully received. Susan</description>

<description>I too am descended from Daniel Sydal. I have a glass with his monogram on it, I have no picture of him but I have a couple of photos of his wife Anna Maria Jenkins. I understand he was lost with the 'Lovely Emily' in March 1822.

		<description>Hello

I have been researching my family history, and would like to find out more about an ancestor of mine, Capt. Daniel Sydal.

I have found several references to him as captain of the brig "The Lovely Emily" , which also appears on your website as the name of a privateer ship owned by the Hemery brothers (1801). I wondered if you had any reference to the name Sydal in connection with this privateer.

Many thanks
